So Americade 2026 is history. Once again the weather did not cooperate.

Got in some riding up around the lake which was cool. Took a ride to Lake Placid. Cool town, but got chased by the rain.

Took a demo ride on a Thunderstroke bike. Not all that impressed.

Smoked a lot of ci**rs, drank a lot of Tequila and ate some good food.

Not a bad time, just wet and cold.

***UPDATE ***

I road into new york city yesterday and it was 95°. The ultimate test to see if these work. I can report back that they weren't perfect. But they definitely kept some of the heat off the inside of my right leg. So as far as I am concerned, they are worth the eighty five bucks.

Check out the video. I used a heat gun to see if the heat shields worked. It was 77* out when I did the test. I just came back from a ride, and the bike was idling for about 1 minute. When riding today, it felt cooler on the inside of the right leg. So do they work? I think so.

****UPDATE****

Had the tire balanced, it was not off by much, only 3 small weights. Still have the same issue.

Went to an event at my local Indian dealer, where they took pictures of the tire and the date on the tire. Submit a claim for a new tire. The service manager said "some 2023/2023 had bad tires, but has not seen any 2024 with the issue.

So it will be a week or so before I hear back from them.

That's the latest update. I will keep you posted.

My current situation...I have developed a wobble when decelerating. Just like many others. I did not have it last season. 5k on the front tire. So, before I dig into the steering head bearings, I am going to see if the tire is out of balance. I like to do the easy stuff first and move up to the PITA issue as I go.

Yesterday, I did my first attempt at "Data Logging" with the RVS Performance
RTD tuning module. Since it was my first time using it, I had a learning curve. But once I went through the steps, I figured it out. Got some Data logged into the app, RVS reviewed it, made some adjustments, and sent it back to me for download. Not a difficult process once you get the hang of it. I took some screenshots of what the app will show you so you can get an idea of what's available.
