From a House Cleanerā€™s Eyesā€¦ and Sealed Lips

We see far more than dust.

We notice the wedding ring sitting on the dresserā€¦ when it used to never leave your finger.

We hear the arguments through thin walls, and pretend we didnā€™t.

We see the single parent trying to hold it all together while unpaid bills cover the coffee table.

We see the mountain of laundry that somehow never gets any smaller.

We open the refrigerator and find takeout containers where home-cooked leftovers used to be.

We find empty wine bottles tucked under the bed that no one else was supposed to know about.

We notice the childā€™s height marks on the wall getting taller every month.

We see the hospital bracelets sitting on the bathroom counter.

We watch the guest room slowly become someoneā€™s permanent bedroom.

We notice when one toothbrush becomes twoā€¦

Can I tell you something?

Your home is not your worth.

Iā€™ve cleaned homes that looked like a tornado hit them, and Iā€™ve cleaned homes that looked absolutely spotless. Both have belonged to people carrying struggles no one else could see.

Sometimes a messy home is the result of illness, grief, burnout, ADHD, depression, raising kids, or simply trying to survive.

Sometimes a perfectly clean home belongs to someone carrying anxiety, perfectionism, or a mind that never gets to rest.

The point isā€¦ we all carry something.

If youā€™ve been afraid to ask for help because youā€™re embarrassed, please donā€™t be.

A good cleaner isnā€™t walking into your home to judge you. Weā€™re walking in to make your life a little easier.

You donā€™t have to explain. You donā€™t have to apologize. You donā€™t have to have it ā€œclean enoughā€ before we arrive.

You are worthy of help exactly where you are.
