24/7 Emergency Line Available Walters Company was started by my wife and myself in 1972. I built a septic cleaning unit on a truck, which cost $900. With my wife, Bev, as secretary and dispatcher, we embarked into the small business arena. At this time, our daughter and two sons were in grade school. They learne

d to cope with the special demands of the service industry. They realized that our motto "our service is the difference" truly meant that we would go out of our way to meet the needs of our customers. Throughout their college years, our children were involved in the company. Eventually, all three have come to work for our company as adults. Steve manages our commercial and industrial wastewater hauling division and our residential septic service division. Scott manages the portable toilet and luxury restroom and trailer division of our company. Belinda is heavily involved with luxury restroom and trailer sales. Our son-in-law, Tim, heads our service division and is active in our sales department. Our daughter-in-law, Jeanette, heads our bookkeeping department. With our family this deeply entrenched in the ranks of our company, I am confident you will find that our service is the difference which distinguishes us from other companies offering similar services. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for considering Walters Company for all of your sanitation needs and to wish you well in all you endeavors.

Does your home have a cesspool?

If so, please know that Pennsylvania Septage Management Association (PSMA) standards recommend pumping cesspools every one to two years and inspecting them to ensure they have sufficient capacity (ideally one day's flow or 500+ gallons) and are not failing. If your cesspool is deemed unsatisfactory, it cannot be repaired and must be replaced with a code-compliant septic system.
