🍁 Four Fabulous Fall Pool Maintenance Tips 🍁

As the leaves start falling, it’s the perfect time to get your pool ready for the cooler months.

✅Make sure your pool water is in range. A pool that’s closed with clean water that's within our recommended water chemistry ranges is more likely to be a pool that opens that way too. NOTE: Do not use Calcium Hypochlorite when closing your pool. You were in a great pool maintenance routine all summer long. Keep it going for the next month or so, and you’ll reap the benefits of your efforts come spring.

✅Keep your automatic pool cover clean. When the leaves start to come down, it’s important to keep them blown off your auto cover. Take time to remove the leaves before the rain sticks them together like glue. If you don’t have an automatic pool cover, now’s the time to haul out your winter cover and make sure it’s ready to put on.

✅Check your water level. Remember that you must keep an eye on your water level all winter long. Automatic pool covers and many winter covers are supported by the water below, so never let it drop below the skimmer. The water level in a Fiberglass pool is NOT to be lowered for winterization.

✅Pack up your toys. Now’s the time to clean and pack up your railings, ropes, pool games, deck umbrellas, floats and other removable accessories. Whether you’re closing your pool yourself or having a pro come in, getting all that stuff out of the way speeds up the process. And you’ll be happy to find it all clean and neatly stored when spring arrives next year.

That’s it! Caring for your inground fiberglass pool is a snap, and staying on top of seasonal maintenance means a future of fun and enjoyment for your family.
