I finally had the clean that broke me. There was something on the vinyl plank flooring and I still don’t know what it was. I spent so long sitting and scraping the floor I didn’t want to come back and finish. I bought a wax stripper and tried that for a bit and that didn’t work. I came back with ammonia and made a potent mixture of wax stripper and ammonia and finally we were getting somewhere. Whatever was on this floor was flaking off. I purchased a Libman scrubber mop and the flooring quickly laid claim to that and broke the head right off so I had to hold the wringer handle down to hold it in place whenever I wanted to use the mop and scrubbed the floor so much! It just kept coming!!! The floor isn’t finished, I got up what I could a little more quickly between the scrubber mop, my vacuum, my OCedar Spin Mop, and my OCedar broom. I’m not at all happy with the finished product but with how many hours I had into that floor and the fact my throat was starting to burn (it still does 2 days later) I decided to admit defeat. 😢
