NEW INVASIVE ALERT! The yellow-legged hornet is here.

An invasive species that kills honeybees, the yellow-legged hornet has been found in NC for the first time in Union County. This is bad news for our bees and beekeepers.

🎒 Help Us Pack It Forward! ✏️📚

The Partnership for Children of Wayne County is excited to partner with Communities Supporting Schools of Wayne County for our Pack It Forward Supply Drive, and we need your help!

From August 10–12 (9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.), we're collecting school and classroom supplies that will support students and early childhood classrooms throughout Wayne County.

Whether you donate a backpack, crayons, disinfecting wipes, notebooks, pencils, diapers, or any of the other needed items, every donation helps children start the school year ready to learn and succeed.

No donation is too small. Together, we can make a lasting impact on local children, families, teachers, and child care providers.
