As Southern Maryland Housekeeping continues to grow, we’ve officially transitioned to a new scheduling system to help keep communication, scheduling, reminders, and invoicing more organized and efficient for everyone.

Please take a moment to review a few important reminders and expectations moving forward:

• Payments are due the DAY OF your cleaning
• Cards on file may be automatically charged the day of service
• Late payments will receive a late fee with no exceptions
• All scheduling changes, cancellations, lockouts, or questions must go through:

Please do NOT respond to automated reminder texts — these are no-reply notifications sent through the system.

A few additional reminders for both current and future clients:

• Arrival windows may vary slightly depending on traffic, prior jobs, weather, or deeper-than-expected cleanings
• Add-on services should be requested ahead of time whenever possible so enough time can be scheduled properly
• Excessive clutter, heavy soil, pet accidents, or condition issues may result in additional charges or extra time needed
• We ask that homes are picked up as much as possible prior to arrival so we can focus on actual cleaning
• Scheduling updates, announcements, openings, weather delays, and important company information will be posted through BOTH Facebook and email moving forward

Southern Maryland Housekeeping, L.L.C is looking to hire a cleaner to join our growing team. In this role, which reports to our crew lead, you will clean homes and build client relationships.
This role may be the right fit if you pay close attention to details, work well with a team and on your own, pride yourself on a job well done, and aren’t afraid to apply a little elbow grease.

Job responsibilities:
-Completing light cleaning duties according to the provided checklists (e.g., wiping surfaces, emptying trash cans, floor vacuuming and mopping, changing linen)
-Managing a particular area of the client’s home and ensuring a high level of quality
-Working with minimal supervision
-Assessing a client’s home, prioritizing tasks, and using good judgment to customize the appointment per client’s wishes
-Building positive relationships with clients by earning their trust and respect
-Complying with proper safety policies and procedures
-Transporting all equipment and supplies from each visit
-Collecting payments from clients when required
-Professionally addressing any complaints or issues and reporting to management
-Taking the initiative to delight our clients wherever possible
-Accurately log your billable hours using a time tracking app
-Manage job details, review daily tasks, and follow up with customers using our residential cleaning app
Qualifications and skills:
-Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle
-Able to lift and carry 25+ pounds of cleaning supplies and equipment
-Able to stand, kneel, and climb stairs
-Good at organizing and solving problems
-Good work ethic and positive attitude
-Can work both independently and as part of a team environment
-Can communicate well (multiple languages are an asset)
-Experience using scheduling apps or routing apps preferred (training can be provided)
-Previous cleaning experience is an asset

Working hours:
Full-time, year-round
Mon–Fri, 8:00am–4:00pm
Overtime available but not required

This position will require a background check upon hire.
