What is the difference between a regular cleaning and a deep cleaning?
A deep cleaning is the first and most detailed cleaning service we provide. It is designed to remove accumulated dirt, grease, dust, soap residue, stains, and buildup throughout the home, from top to bottom.
This type of cleaning requires more time, greater physical effort, specialized techniques, professional equipment, and products selected for different surfaces and levels of buildup. It creates the clean foundation needed for future maintenance cleanings.
During the initial deep cleaning, we thoroughly clean areas that are not normally scrubbed during a regular cleaning, including:
* Doors and door frames;
* Interior windows;
* Window tracks and sills, when included in the estimate;
* Blinds;
* Baseboards;
* High light fixtures; and
* High ceiling fans.
After these areas have been thoroughly cleaned during the initial service, regular cleaning is intended to maintain the overall condition of the home.
Regular cleaning is a lighter maintenance service performed on a recurring basis. It focuses on routine tasks such as dusting accessible surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, wiping kitchen surfaces, vacuuming, mopping, removing trash, and maintaining the areas that are used most frequently.
Because the heavy buildup and detailed scrubbing were addressed during the deep cleaning, regular cleaning does not include repeated heavy scrubbing of doors, door frames, blinds, baseboards, interior windows, high light fixtures, or high ceiling fans.
During regular visits, these areas may receive light dust removal when accessible, but detailed washing, stain removal, degreasing, or scrubbing is not included.
If any of these areas develop new buildup over time and require detailed cleaning again, the service will be considered an add-on and must be requested and priced separately from the regular cleaning.
In simple terms, deep cleaning removes accumulated dirt and restores the home to a maintainable condition, while regular cleaning helps preserve that condition through lighter, recurring upkeep.
