Part 3 of Cleaner Cooking:

Use a microwave cover dish or use a paper plate so that food does not splatter in the microwave. I like using the dish cloths that I can buy at Dollar tree they’re really good at scrubbing things clean the more often you clean after each use of the microwave the easier it is.

Part 2 on cleaner cooking:

When I make coleslaw or cookie dough or I want to put sauce on my fried chicken, I use a really big bowl that way. It doesn’t spill the food on the counter as much if any.

How to keep the kitchen cleaner while cooking Part 1:

Use 1 gallon bags when you can for instance me frying chicken. Also, I like putting my stuff in the clean sink so that I’m not making so much of a mess and then the food can just go down the drain.

You never know what doing just one thing can lead up to. A lot of people can just not be motivated for one reason or another to keep their house clean. So since they don’t keep their house clean, sometimes they don’t want company over or if they do have company over they’re embarrassed by how things look.

But doing just one thing can lead to a snowball effect of many one things. And then you can feel a sense of accomplishment. 

Go be intentional and do one little thing and see where it takes you.

My client got a walk-in shower put in and there was a lot of construction dust. When I clean, I make sure I get everything looking in tip top shape. That means I even wash artificial flowers and vases.

A good habit to get into is picking up around the house before bedtime and getting your kitchen clean and trash emptied....

A good habit to get into is picking up around the house before bedtime and getting your kitchen clean and trash emptied.

I do it when my husband is taking his shower. If you make it a nightly habit it doesn’t require so much time.

Ask each family member to put their own dirty dishes in the dishwasher.

Making this a new routine will shorten your cleaning time when you invite company.

With today’s house cleaning, I decided to sweep their back porch, which had dry mud and a lot of dirt on it. My thought was it will keep the inside of the house looking cleaner longer if I clean up the porch so they don’t track it in.
