We’ve got some room on the schedule at Shorty’s Garage and we’re looking to get a few more cars in.

If you’ve got something you’ve been putting off, send us a message. We handle a lot more than just basic repairs and maintenance.

We have ASE certifications and the proper diagnostic equipment to actually figure out what’s wrong instead of just throwing parts at it.

New or old, carbureted or fuel injected, we’ll work on it. We’re also not afraid of the older stuff that can be harder to find someone willing to mess with these days.

We’re a small local garage trying to do good work at a fair price and take care of people.

We now have a hydraulic shop press, which means we can perform even more repairs in-house, including:

This 2008 Lincoln MKX was dropped off at Shorty’s Garage with a grinding noise while driving.

After a quick test drive, we suspected a failing front wheel bearing. The noise changed as the steering wheel was turned at moderate speeds, a common symptom of a worn bearing.

In this video, you’ll see me checking for play by grabbing the wheel at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions (top and bottom). The excessive movement and clunking confirm that this front wheel bearing has failed and needs to be replaced.

This ’71 Chevelle 454 put up a fight.

Multiple valve covers, gasket issues, and a lot of trial and error later, we finally got it sealed up using valve cover tie-downs.

No more oil leaks. Another classic back on the road.

This 1971 Chevelle came into Shorty’s Garage with an oil leak that wasn’t easy to pinpoint. We utilized a UV dye and used a UV light to trace the exact source. As you can see in the photo, the dye makes even the smallest leak stand out.

Using the right diagnostic tools saves time, prevents unnecessary parts replacement, and helps ensure the problem gets fixed correctly the first time.

It’s that time of year again, if your check engine light is keeping you from passing emissions, don’t start replacing parts at random.

Shorty’s Garage uses professional diagnostic equipment and live data to identify why your vehicle is failing. If it’s an oxygen sensor, catalytic converter, EVAP system, cooling fan issue, or another emissions related fault, we’ll diagnose the root cause before recommending repairs.
