We love what we do! If you see Sebastian down at the laundromat say hello! He does a great job keeping everything clean and attended to and we couldn’t do it without him!

At The Workshop, we strongly value our close connections with many businesses and organizations throughout our community. Currently, we have 24 individuals working in Competitive Integrated Employment at community placements in and around Jo Daviess County. These individuals are working hard, are successful, and are happy in their jobs with ongoing support from our community partners. Each month, we're featuring a different business or organization in our Employer Spotlight.

“Having worked with several consumers from the Workshop over several years, we were able to maintain this relationship in 2025 as the Galena Laundromat gave the responsibility of cleaning to Sabastian F. Sabastian is an incredibly hard worker who takes pride in his performance and takes responsibility for his attendance.
We have a system now that gives Sabastian autonomy to arrive and clean completely by himself, without the need for hands-on oversight. This has only been achieved after incredible support and coaching from The Workshop's job coaching team, who have all been invaluable resources both for Sabastian and for us at the laundromat.
Sabastian is an integral team member at the Galena Laundromat, and we love that we're able to continue working both with him and also the rest of the team from The Workshop. I can't speak highly enough of the service they provide, and I can't recommend them highly enough.” - Dave Sandlers

Hi folks,
We are moving in to the Ridge Street neighborhood on quality hill! We look forward to being a part of the community, tucked in between the local laundromat, Salon 603, and Knot's A Problem Therapeutic Massage & Wellness Studio. Parking provided, one level entrance and central air!

🔥We welcome new volunteers to work at our store, as our store is based on donations and all sales support our rescue cats through Vet cost, food, litter, cleaning supplies, medications, etc.
🔥We WILL be taking donations as soon as we move in and can get organized to process donations.
🔥We will have a store phone and welcome calls with any questions you may have regarding donations, store hours, etc.
