You’ll be a frontline ESSENTIAL WORKER, trained and ready to tackle a variety of responsibilities:

(No prior experience required.)
Be the friendly face of GCJ. Reliable. Courteous. Resourceful.

Wipe down surfaces including countertops, fixtures, glass, mirrors, windows, countertops, and furniture.
Remove trash.
Replenish towels, soaps, and toilet paper rolls.
Sweep, wet mop, and vacuum.

Be a facility’s valuable extra set of eyes—report necessary repairs, replacements, leaks and drips as you notice them.

Hourly Pay Rate: $11.00 to $12.50

We are looking for a responsible custodian to maintain and protect our facilities. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for a custodian, or janitor, to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning, and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep. They will have good physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence is imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.

Responsibilities

Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out the trash, tidying furniture, and dusting surfaces
Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks, and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
Wipe mirrors and windows
Maintain outer premises by blowing leaves & emptying trash at entrances
Report major damages
Skills

Proven experience as custodian, janitor, or in a similar role
Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
Attention to detail and conscientiousness
Good physical condition and strength
A high school diploma is preferred but not required
COVID-19 precautions
Remote interview process
Personal protective equipment provided or required
All employees are required to wear a mask.
