We truly enjoy having Lynette as part of our team❤️

Lynette is proving every day that determination and joy can brighten any workplace!

With the support of her Employment Specialist, Candace, and Job Coach, Bob, Lynette began an On-the-Job Training at Fresh Laundry & Cafe in Gainesville. Just three weeks in, she impressed the owner so much that she was offered a permanent position as a Laundry Worker!

Lynette now folds towels, sanitizes tables and machines, straightens the children’s books, and keeps the space sparkling, all while humming and giggling, bringing smiles to everyone around her. Despite past challenges with interviews, communication, and being overlooked by other employers, Lynette worked hard to learn her tasks through repetition and coaching, and she’s grown more independent every day.

What she loves most? Earning her own money and completing her work without needing direction. She’s even saving up to buy the things she enjoys!

We’re so proud of Lynette for bringing so much positivity and dedication to Fresh Laundry & Café. She’s a wonderful example of how perseverance and support can lead to meaningful success

Loads of Learning program is happening every Tuesday 4-530pm!
This is a FREE literacy program for the children of Gainesville to attend. Books and materials are provided by the Laundry Cares Foundation in collaboration with the City of Gainesville, Episcopal Childrens Services, Alachua Library, United Way and Too Small to Fail Foundation.
We all want the best future for our children and what a joy it is to help inspire their young minds with reading books 🥰📚💕
