How can all climate questions be "settled" when scientists still can't agree on what a "species" is?

Some of the best known species on Earth may not be what they seem.

Oops. Sorry. Nevermind

Lizards that the feds listed as on the way to extinction are found flourishing, raising more red flags about the shoddy quality of listing science.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announces the Plateau spot-tailed earless lizard is no longer endangered.

Animal activists paint us pretty mental pictures of the ecotopia that will be restored in Colorado once imported wolves "balance nature out." It's a silly and simplistic fantasy, as emerging research shows.

Researchers say wolves' impact on the environment in Colorado will not be felt for decades. Here are key findings from their 20-year study.

How reliable, accurate, and credible is the science that can land a plant or animal on the government's protected species list? Too often, it can barely be called "science" at all.

If I say the sky is purple and you say it’s blue, so I challenge you to prove it, what would you do? How do you prove something nobody has spent money studying because it’s never been questioned before? Are

Here's something to keep in mind when you hear "scientists" and other "experts" making arrogantly ironclad claims that "climate science" is "settled science." America seems to be experiencing a scientific integrity crisis, some of which undoubtedly traces its origins to the hijacking of "climate science" for political and ideological ends. It might not matter so much if the sloppy, shady, slanted science never left the Ivory Tower. But "climate science" has huge policymaking implications that touch all our lives, as taxpayers, energy consumers, transportation users, etc. -- which is why we should have zero tolerance for scientific fraud, malpractice, or malfeasance on climate questions.

Last year, 10,000 sham papers had to be retracted by academic journals, but experts think this is just the tip of the iceberg

Every journalist who covers or comments on endangered species issues ought to see this Western Caucus Foundation staff briefing. The most obvious takeaway is that the science underpinning the Endangered Species Act, a well-intended but terribly flawed 50-year-old regulatory juggernaut, is often shaky if not shoddy.

The Western Caucus Foundation just released this well-documented, eye-opening critique of false listings and "recoveries" under the Endangered Species Act, an issue that calls for much more scrutiny as we "celebrate" the law's 50th anniversary. It's a must-read for everyone who follows wildlife issues and wants policy made based on high-quality science.

The Endangered Species Act at 50 A Record of Falsified Recoveries Underscores a Lack of Scientific Integrity in the Federal Program On December 28th, 2023, it will be 50 years since the Endangered Species Act (ESA) first became law. Recovering endangered species is the ultimate measure of success...

Another "extinct" species recently was found alive and well, showing how often the "experts" get it wrong. That's not to say we should ignore the plight of truly endangered species -- just that we should guard against alarmist proclamations based on immature or shoddy agenda science.

It was the ninth “most wanted” lost species — a list that comprises over 2,000 species across 160 countries.

Killing owls to "save" owls? That's just one absurdity of the Endangered Species Act in action.

Wildlife officials have shot 11 invasive owls in Marin County in recent years — but the arrivals continue.

Has Smokey Bear been lying to Congress?

Before we shower tons more tax money on mitigating Western wildfires, shouldn't we demand more accuracy and honesty from the U.S Forest Service on the TRUE scope of its ongoing restoration work?

At the nation’s largest fire agency, the program to reduce wildfire fuel is receiving much-needed investment. But for 20 years, it has tracked that work with “misleading data.”

The Endangered Species Act is 50 years old and showing its age. About all it's good for is clogging courts with frivolous lawsuits and crippling land agencies with "analysis paralysis." A better way beckons IF it can gain bipartisan support

The Endangered Species Act (ESA) was signed into law nearly 50 years ago in an attempt to protect our precious wildlife from extinction. Unfortunately, despite efforts from administrations on both …
