Key Account Manager
Reports To:
The Account Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager and indirectly to the Chief Operations Officer.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Job Overview:
The Account Manager will operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to their accounts. The Account Manager will build strong, long-lasting customer relationships by collaborating with various internal departments to ensure clients receive the highest quality of customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Maintains constant communication and collaboration with both internal and customer schedulers.
• Soley responsible for entire lifespan of customer purchase orders (generating, accepting, printing, filing, etc.) and ensures they are shared timely with appropriate departments.
• Creates sales orders for corresponding purchase orders in company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Receives customer’s production forecast, updates necessary information in pertinent systems, and passes information to appropriate parties.
• Ensure that information in company’s ERP system always reflects customer’s forecast.
• Maintains physical files to reflect ERP and physical production needs.
• Orders materials and components for customer’s product both regularly and as needed.
• Collaborates with Scheduling and Inventory Departments to ensure material demands are met timely and to determine from what supplier components should be ordered.
• Sends select forecasts to appropriate suppliers on a weekly and/or monthly basis.
• Coordinates between customers and Shipping Department to guarantee that correct customer product is shipped timely to intended locations.
• Creates customer-specific shipping documents using ERP and customer’s collaboration portal.
• Maintains constant awareness of daily production.
• Attends and participates in regularly scheduled client meetings both in person and virtually.
• Keeps constant understanding of customer’s quality specifications and collaborates with internal Quality Department to resolve any issues.
• Remains aware of and involved in customer’s pricing process, ensuring that product prices are accurate in pertinent systems.
• Reports regularly on account’s status.
Education & Experience:
• Associate degree or higher in Business Administration, Quality Assurance, Production & Manufacturing, Customer Service, or relevant field preferred but not required.
• Proven experience as an Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Purchaser, Inventory Control, or relevant role.
• Experience using digital information, resource, and enterprise systems preferred.
Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to remain professional and solution-oriented in stressful situations.
• Highly organized and able to multitask.
• Computer proficient with a focus on Microsoft Suite and production/manufacturing software.
• Able to sit, stand, walk for 8 hours.
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• Able to wear required PPE as necessary.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Responsible, reliable, punctual, and committed.
*This position is paid on a salary basis and not eligible for commission.
Salary Range is $40,000 - $65,000 / year, depending on experience
