If you’ve ever cleaned a shower without a handheld shower head, you know this is basically a love language. 😂 P.S - I’m the cleaning lady.

I’m a big believer that everything should have a place within your home. And when we start shoving things into random drawers, closets and bins because there’s nowhere else to put them… that’s usually our sign that it’s time to figure out what isn’t serving us anymore.

But instead of waiting until AFTER Christmas, when everyone is decluttering and donation centers are overflowing, do it now.
Secondhand stores and donation centers need time to sort, organize and get those items back out into the community, especially before the holidays, when families may be relying on secondhand items for winter clothes, toys, household necessities and even Christmas gifts.

If your kids have toys they’ve outgrown but still have plenty of life left in them, pass them on.
Coats nobody wears? Pass them on.
Clothes that haven’t been touched in a year? Pass them on.
Things shoved in the back of a closet because you don’t know where else to put them? Maybe it’s time to pass those on, too.

Decluttering doesn’t always have to mean throwing things away. Sometimes it’s recognizing that something has finished serving your family so it can go serve another one. ❤️
And doing it a few months BEFORE Christmas gives those items a chance to actually make it into the hands of someone who needs them, when they need them most.

School has been back for approximately 5 minutes and the germs said OUR TIME TO SHINE.
We’re already seeing sick kiddos, so here’s your friendly sick-season reminder!
If anyone in your household has had a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea within the past 24 hours, or currently has something contagious like strep, the flu, a stomach bug, etc., please cancel your clean.
We totally understand wanting the house cleaned and disinfected after sickness—but while there is an active illness in the home, we don't want to risk exposing our cleaners and then carrying those germs into another client's home.
There are ZERO hard feelings for canceling because of sickness. ❤️ We will work with you to get rescheduled!
And we ask for that same patience with our cleaners. Our kids are back in school catching all the same lovely germs. 🫠 Many of us don't have backup childcare when our kiddos are sick, so there may be times we have to rearrange the schedule.
We will ALWAYS do our best to keep your original cleaning day and time whenever possible.
Basically… keep your germs at your house, we'll keep ours at ours, and we'll all try to survive another school year together. 😂🫶

Start with one thing.

For me, it was this drawer of cords.
Cords I haven’t used in YEARS.
Cords I don’t even know what half of them go to.
And somehow I convinced myself I might need them someday. 😂
You don’t have to tackle your entire house.
Pick one small area that’s been bothering you and start there.
Downsize what you don’t use.
Get rid of what you don’t need.
Give yourself permission to let go of the things you’ve been keeping “just in case.”
Sometimes getting your space back under control starts with something as simple as… throwing away 47 mystery cords. 😂
One area. One small win. Then move on.

MENTAL HEALTH + CLEANING | PART 1 🤍

If your home feels overwhelming right now, please know you don’t have to tackle everything at once.

And you definitely don’t need a fancy planner, cleaning board, or expensive organizational system.

Grab a piece of paper and a pen.
Write down everything you feel like needs to be done…even the tiny things.

Getting it out of your head and onto paper gives you a visual of what actually needs to happen instead of carrying the entire list around in your mind.

Then pick ONE thing.
Not ten. Not the whole house.
One.

Because sometimes getting your home back under control doesn’t start with cleaning.

It starts with making the chaos feel manageable. 🤍

Save this for the day your house feels like too much.
