🤍 A little appreciation post from Momma Maid To Clean. 🤍

I don't think people always realize just how much our clients become a part of our lives.

When you welcome us into your homes, you're trusting us with so much more than just cleaning your space. You're allowing us to become a small part of your everyday life, and that's something we don't take lightly. We get to watch your families grow. 🥹

We get to see a little boy's Hulk-themed bedroom turn into a little girl's pink paradise.

We get to watch the little guy who once had toys scattered across his bedroom floor grow into a teenager whose bathroom is now filled with body washes, deodorants, and all the things that come with growing up.

We see the nurseries become big-kid bedrooms. The family photos change. The holiday decorations come and go. New pets join the family. Kids graduate. Families grow. Life happens.

And somewhere along the way, we realize we've been there for so many of those little chapters.

We've celebrated exciting news with some of you. We've cried for some of you. We've prayed for some of you.

We've walked into homes knowing that life has been a little heavier than usual, and we've hoped that leaving behind a clean space might take just one small thing off your shoulders.

And sometimes, we've walked into homes and been reminded of just how beautiful life can be.

The truth is, we don't just clean houses. We build relationships with the people who call those houses home.

And while we may only see you every week, every other week, or once a month, you become familiar faces, familiar families, and people we genuinely care about.

As a small business, I don't think there's a greater compliment than someone trusting us to be part of their home year after year.

So, to our clients, past and present, thank you.

Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for sharing little pieces of your lives with us. Thank you for the conversations, the laughs, the kindness, and the relationships we've built along the way.

We may be the ones coming into your homes to take care of things, but please know that you've all left little pieces of yourselves with us, too. 🤍

When a compliment hits a little differently… 🥹🤍
We recently received an amazing review from a guest who stayed at one of the Airbnbs we clean. But what made this review extra special? She owns a cleaning business herself!
And if you know anything about people in the cleaning industry, you know that unfortunately, we can NEVER turn off our cleaning eyes.
We notice the little things. The corners, the baseboards, the fixtures, the spots most people wouldn't even think twice about looking at. It's just second nature at this point!
So when someone who does this for a living walks into a property we've cleaned and is genuinely impressed with the cleanliness, that's one of the highest compliments we could ever receive.
It's one thing to have a happy guest, but it's another to impress someone who knows exactly what goes into making a space truly clean.
This one made me extra proud of the work we do at Momma Maid To Clean!
It's a reminder that the little details really DO matter, even when we think nobody notices.

🍂 Have you heard the new term for airing out your house? BURPING!

Like so many things, the lingo changes, but the meaning behind it stays the same!
And I'm here for this one.

Take advantage of these beautiful fall days and OPEN THOSE WINDOWS! 🍁

Let some fresh air circulate through your home and help move out that stale indoor air. Even opening your windows for 10–15 minutes can help freshen things up!
And while you've got those windows open, let's give them a little TLC! 🧼

FIRST UP: THOSE WINDOW SILLS & TRACKS!
You know those little tracks that collect dirt, dust, dead bugs, and whatever else finds its way in there?
Here's the easiest way to tackle them:
Start DRY! Use your vacuum's crevice attachment to suck up all that loose dirt, dust, and debris. Trust me, you don't want to add water first and turn everything into mud!
Grab an old toothbrush or small detailing brush. Loosen the dirt hiding in those corners and tight spaces.
Wipe it down! Use a damp microfiber cloth with a little warm water and a drop of dish soap if needed.
Get into those corners! Wrap your cloth around a butter knife or another blunt, narrow tool to reach those stubborn spots without scratching the frame.
Dry everything! Don't leave standing water sitting in your window tracks, and be careful not to block the little drainage holes.

NOW LET'S TALK WINDOW GLASS!
You do NOT need anything fancy to get beautifully clean windows!
My personal favorite? An E-Cloth and a polishing cloth! 🤍
That's it. JUST WATER!
Wet your window-cleaning cloth, wring it out, wipe down the glass, and follow with your dry polishing cloth for a streak-free finish.
Don't have an E-Cloth? NO PROBLEM!
Here's another simple method:
💧 Mix warm water with just a tiny drop of dish soap.
🧽 Use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe down the glass.
✨ Follow with a second, slightly damp cloth to remove any soap residue.
🤍 Finish with a clean, dry, lint-free microfiber cloth to buff away streaks.
A little professional tip: Try cleaning your windows when the sun isn't shining directly on them! Direct sunlight can dry the water or cleaning solution too quickly, leaving behind those annoying streaks.

And remember, sometimes the simplest cleaning methods really are the best. You don't need a cabinet full of expensive products to maintain a clean home!
So here's your little fall cleaning reminder:
Open those windows. Let that fresh air in. Clean those tracks. Wipe down that glass.

Well, here's a little cleaning education for you!

Dust doesn't just sit on surfaces. It's constantly moving throughout your home!
Think about it…
💨 Ceiling fans: Every time they're running, they're circulating air and all those tiny dust particles right along with it.
🧹 Vacuuming: Yep, even vacuuming can temporarily stir up dust! Especially if your vacuum doesn't have a good filtration system.
🚶‍♀️ Everyday movement: Walking around, sitting on furniture, making beds, and even folding laundry can send settled dust right back into the air.
☀️ Sunlight: Have you ever sat in a room with sunlight beaming through the window and watched all those tiny particles floating around? THAT'S what you're dealing with every single day! And eventually, those particles have to land somewhere.
And here's something else people don't always realize: Dust isn't just dirt! It's made up of fabric fibers, skin cells, pollen, pet dander, and other tiny particles that are constantly being introduced into your home.
So why bother dusting if it's just going to come back?
Because regular dusting removes the buildup instead of allowing it to continuously accumulate and get stirred back into the air.
A few tips from your cleaning crew at Momma Maid To Clean 🤍
✨ Use a damp microfiber cloth instead of a dry duster that can send particles flying.
✨ Clean your ceiling fan blades regularly.
✨ Vacuum with a good filtration system and maintain your filters.
✨ Change your HVAC filters as recommended.
✨ Dust from top to bottom so you're not cleaning the same surfaces

A little update from Momma Maid To Clean 🤍

Over the next few weeks, you may notice a few changes happening behind the scenes.

Danielle, our lead cleaner, and one of her longtime helpers will both be leaving Momma Maid. While we are sad to see them go, we are SO thankful for the time they have spent with us, the hard work they have put in, and the relationships they have built with our clients. We’re excited for them as they move into their next chapters and can’t wait to see where life takes them next! 🤍

With those changes, I’ve had to take a good look at what Momma Maid will look like moving forward. After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to bring the business back to a smaller scale.

Instead of focusing on growing bigger, I want to focus on maintaining a smaller, dependable client list that allows us to continue providing the quality and consistency our clients deserve.

As much as we love taking on one-time cleans and deep cleans, moving forward we will no longer be offering those services outside of our current clientele. Our focus will be on taking care of the clients we already have and making sure we have the time and availability to continue showing up for them consistently. 🤍

Unfortunately, that also means we will be saying goodbye to some clients we’ve truly loved working with. Those decisions have not been easy, and they aren't being made because those clients are any less valued. It simply comes down to being realistic about the amount of work we can personally and reliably cover. As much as I wish we could duplicate ourselves, we just can't. 🤍

If you are affected by any scheduling or service changes, you will hear from us directly — I won't leave anyone wondering!

Momma Maid isn't going anywhere. 🤍 We're just entering a new season: a little smaller, a little simpler, and focused on doing what we do well without stretching ourselves too thin.
