Once again, there is a solar company soliciting in the Village. They have not obtained the required permit to solicit in the Village. They are aware of this now and said they would get the needed permit. We will update this post if that happens, otherwise they should not be soliciting.

NOTICE FOR PUBLIC AWARENESS:: The Village office has been made aware of two different thefts this weekend that have occurred in the Village. Please report any thefts to the county sheriff's office so we can hopefully catch who is doing this.

Shannon Meredith has found this dog and is looking for it's owner. It is way too cold out for these animals to be outside. It sounds like she is keeping it warm at her house. If you know who this dog belongs to please comment and we will get in touch with her. She messaged her phone number to the Village I just hate to publish anyone's phone number on a public post.

Posting a little late but we want to give a huge shout out to Tim and Mike Hall for all of their hard work yesterday clearing our roads. I have heard from a few wishing to express their gratitude to Tim Hall for operating the snow plow and to Mike Hall for working with him by operating the backhoe to clear the wall of snow from all of our driveways after Tim went through with the snow plow. These two spent many hours yesterday, starting very very early trying to make sure our little community could get out and about if necessary. Their hard work and dedication to our community is so appreciated!!

Due to the large amount of snow we have and the extreme cold the Village Water office will be closed Monday, January 26th. We should be able to still have our evening hours on Wednesday evening 6pm to 8 or 9pm. We are often there later than 8, it just depends on what is going on.

Due to family time for Christmas the Village Hall office is closed this evening 12/24/25.

We will have evening hours next week on Tuesday, December 30th instead of Wednesday, December 31st.

The Village Hall phone line is down once again. Service call has been put in but it looks like they won't be out to fix it until next week sometime.

Just received word that there Boil Water Order has been lifted.

I am just learning that the post confirming the Boil Water Order didn't post that I thought I posted early Tuesday morning.

We are still waiting for the water testing to be completed before we can lift the boil water order.

12:50pm Update: Location is actually on Freeman Spur Rd right before last curve at Chittyville. Fiberoptic was being installed and they accidentally hit the water line. Fiber installers hit the waterline and will be starting the repair as soon as they finish that install. I would assume we will be under a boil water order, but won't know for sure until they complete the repair.

FYI to Freeman Spur Water Customers: Marvin is currently investigating a water line break around Grape St. We will update this post as we know more.

Might want to gather jugs of water, if you can, in case we are without water while it is repaired.
