Unfortunately the laundromat will not be able to accept anymore donations. I just cleaned up the area yesterday and I walked into this mess today. I will be putting notices on the doors going forward. This has been a battle for the last year and with the renovations that are about to begin, we just can’t sort messes like this out every day. Thank you to those who have donated in the past. Perhaps we can go back to donations eventually but I just don’t have the staff right now.

What about a Food Co-op?

So I’ve been very busy moving Grayson across the planet to a different continent this summer. I haven’t had much time to look at the space in front of Central Street Laundromat LLC. Today Charlie was talking about his 75 Tabasco peppers and ghost peppers and I was wondering what on earth will we do with all of those. Then I was thinking about the farmers market. So I’m throwing this out there. What do people think about a Food Co-op or something like that? Comments, ideas or suggestions?

It is with a heavy heart that I must say that Christmas Kitty crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. She fought her illness like a trooper and received the best of care from Blackwater Vet in Salisbury. I am so grateful for all the veterinarians and staff there and to Dr Kellet today who gave it to me straight and knows how to speak my language. Thank you Christmas for all the laughs and joy you brought to the community. Life will not be the same without you. Thank you to the community for all the treats, beds and handmade items gifted to Christmas over the years. You made her life complete ❤️ 🐈‍⬛ 🐾 ♥️

Update - We have shut down the double load washers permanently. We are also looking to repurpose the front space and keep the laundromat in the back. I have some ideas but no decisions yet. We are also going to take advantage of the warm season to reorganize donations of both food and clothing so we are asking for people to not drop off either for the time being. The fridge is being moved until we figure out what we should do with all this space! I would like to separate the front from the back of the laundromat like it used to be but obviously need to work with the professionals on how to do that safely. I’m just keeping everyone in the loop!
