A fun little "secret squirrel" project today. Unfortunately can share any real pictures of the SUV. It was very nice working indoors a climate controlled lab space. This SUV is headed across the pond in a few days to get its final signoff by executives of the manufacturer. It needed the We Care Car Care treatment to make sure it looked as good as it sounded.

This brand dandy new Tesla S got a 1st proper wash, light polish and a 1 year+ coating applied to the exterior to make sure it stays looking new for a long time. Also made sure to get a good coating on the anodized trim surrounding the windows which are prone to discoloration over a short period of time with harsh soaps and rough New England winters.

Its been a while since I've posted a PSA for everyone but this time of year its fitting.
Today's job was about as average of a job as you will find. A two year old fully loaded Kia Telluride that totes a couple kids and the occasional dog around. The vehicle belongs to a long time customer that normally visits us every spring. Customer told me he saw a few too many popcorn kernels in the car and didnt want a repeat of last winter. Apparently mice caused $10,000 worth of damage by eating wires and destroying a headlight. I got a look of the customers repair bill. Thankfully he had good car insurance and it covered most of the bill.
Serves as a good reminder why detailing in winter is very important to stay on top of.
With the cold snap due over the next week or so those little mice will be scrambling to find warm place and a food source. Unfortunately a lot of new vehicle use soy based wiring and some plastics for environmental reasons. That stuff is like Twizzlers to mice. Seems like a nice place for mice to go in the winter.
To save your self a potentially massive headache there are a few things you can do to protect your investment.
Ultrasonic repellent devices will help keep the mice away. If your car lives in the garage they make small plug-in units that can cover your whole garage. If your car lives outdoors try placing some solar powered ground stakes near your car.
For a little extra protection on the inside, a product I highly recommend is called Cab Fresh. They are little mesh packets you can put around your car. The nice cedar scent will also make your car smell better. I recommend buying a 4 pack.
Hide one under the trunk floor, one under each row of seats and one or two tucked in your engine bay away from any morning parts.
Of course the most important thing is to keep your car clean. All those French fires that fell between the seats or that crushed goldfish is just waiting to enjoyed.

Winding operations down for a long holiday weekend and closing in on just a few weeks left of the mobile season we have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Since I've been slacking on posting much here's a collection of completed jobs all done within the last few weeks that all got topped with either a 1 year or 5+ year long life graphine ceramic coatings.
Look for an announcement on a couple Black Friday deals coming up starting Friday.
