One year ago today my daughter, Alyssa and myself came up with this crazy, off the wall idea to start our own cleaning business! I remember calling her up and saying let's grab lunch and talk about our plan for this crazy idea! We grabbed lunch took it to the park and sat at a picnic table with a notepad and pen and started laying out a plan! With $1000 of our combined money and a dream in our eyes we set out to see if this would work. Our first few weeks we only had one house here and there and I was starting to think this was a horrible idea! But Alyssa, with her positive and adventurous self, kept saying, "Mom, we are going to make this happen!"
365 days later...
We have a garage wall stocked with cleaning supplies, our own logo, L&A Elite Cleaning, an additional employee to help, Ms. Teona Poe, a scheduled calendar full of cleanings to do to the point we have had to turn some new customers away because we have no room to fit them in! We went from our first week having only one house to clean to today having anywhere from 60-70 house cleanings a month! I can't say thank you enough to all of our friends and family who have been there to support us along the way! Without all of you sharing by word of mouth that we have this company we wouldn't have some of the customers we have today! To our customers, without all of you this dream of ours would never have happened! Each and every one of you took a chance with us and gave us the opportunity to step in your homes and show you what we could do! We believe we have the best customers a company could ask for and for all of that we thank you, thank you, thank you!
To Teona, thank you for being there when we need you and for showing us the ropes it took to get where we are today! Thank you for coming to rescue us when the workload is too much on days we are swamped! Thank you for sharing laughs and some tears here and there when the three of us are together for the day! Thank you for believing in us! There are days when we wouldn't be able to make it without you! We love you cousin!
And finally, to my daughter, Alyssa, thank you for sitting with me that day and having the same dream as I to get this company started! Thank you for being the rock when I wanted to give up because I didn't think this would work! Thank you for dealing with me on my bad days and for making the good days even better because we shared them together! Thank you for looking out for me because you know I am getting old lol thank you for being you and for being there through the good and bad! Here's to another year and may God bless us with many more! 🙏 ❤️
