Everyone chases “phenomenal” skills and flashy marketing.
I chase something quieter, but far more powerful: trust.
When clients hire me, they don’t just get great cleaning. They get a partner they can hand the keys to their home with complete confidence. That’s not luck. That’s the result of consistently going above and beyond and treating every job like it matters.
Here’s the uncomfortable truth most business owners won’t say out loud: Starting a business isn’t hard because of the work. It’s hard because we’ve been sold the lie that success = aggressive sales tactics. In reality, the businesses that last are built on relationships, not transactions.
Other owners I speak with feel it too. They’re not looking for the most impressive résumé or the loudest pitch. They’re looking for someone trustworthy, someone who shows up, does excellent work, and can be counted on.
That’s what I contribute to my success. Not hype. Not gimmicks. Just being the person people can trust with their homes and their businesses.
In your experience, does trust or talent win more often?
