Shoutout to Chem-Dry Metro for being the magical carpet cleaners they are and undoing a DIY FAIL!

Just Stop ✋ 🚨 🛑

Stop blindly following Google’s advice if you don’t want to damage your carpets or cause extra expense ‼️

Day in day out we get called in to try to undo the damage customers have caused by googling how to remove a stain or pet urine odours from carpet. And as much as Shannon Lush is loved for her home remedies, not all of them are suitable for every fibre type, nor are a lot of them effective enough to combat the potent odour that urine causes when it’s off gassing.

In this instance the poor customer followed the worst viral hack “failures” we’ve ever come across. Bicarb and vinegar will NOT remove pet urine odours in carpets, especially those that have traveled all the way to the subfloor.

Please call the professionals for advice before you use vinegar and bicarb all over your carpets, it’s totally useless and would be better off being used to bake a cake.
