Do you have a layer of fine, yellow dust on the surface of your pool? It's probably pollen.
The good news?
It's easier to deal with than algae. But you'll need to stay on top of it and keep your pool pump and filter running.
First, skim your pool surface with a leaf net to remove as much floating pollen as possible. A regular skimmer won't work - you need the fine mesh of a leaf net.
Second, brush your pool walls and floor to loosen any pollen that's settled. This gets it floating in the water so your filter can remove it.
Third, check your filter. If your pressure gauge reads high, backwash or clean your filter. Pollen particles are tiny and can clog up your filter quickly. Run your filter 24/7 or at least more frequently when there's a pollen issue.
Finally, use a skimmer sock. These will help trap finer pollen particles before they reach your filter. Check this every other day and change it out when it's dirty.
