🧽The 30-Minute Career: A Lesson in Radical Realism ⏱️

We’ve all had interesting onboarding stories, but today took the cake. 🍰

Picture this: A new hire commutes an entire hour to get to a client’s property for their very first day of training. Dedication, right? 🚗
But the moment they arrive, before they even step foot inside, their car gets hopelessly stuck. 泥 Showcasing the incredible heart of our community, the client spends 30 minutes helping them dig the car out.
🤝 Crisis averted. Time to start fresh.
The new hire walks inside, cleans exactly one shower, 🚿 stops, looks around, and realizes: "Yeah, this job isn’t for me." And just like that, they walked away. 👋

Total commute and rescue time: 90 minutes. ⏱️
Total working time: One shower.

💡 My Takeaways as a Business Owner:
•Radical Self-Awareness is a Gift: Honestly? I respect the quick exit. Even after a long drive and a rough start, they realized immediately that the role wasn't a fit and made the call rather than dragging it out. 🤯
•Clients are Angels: A massive shoutout to clients who treat our team like family before they even know them. 😇
•Resilience is Key: In business, you have to laugh at the chaos. If you don't laugh, you'll cry! 😂

Looking back on yesterday... when Thursday feels like Monday, you just know Friday is going to be a wild ride! 🤪

First and foremost, I just have to thank God for getting me through it all, keeping me grounded, and providing for us even in the chaos. 🙏✨

Yesterday was the ultimate test of the juggle! Between running my business and caring for my amazing special needs clients, my day looked a little something like this:
📞 7:00 AM: Staff calls & juggling a last-minute property schedule.
🤦‍♀️ 8:30 AM: An iMessage from a wonderful new client reminding me of a scheduling miscommunication on my end (handled it, because I owe it to them!).
🩺 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM: Morning medical care, meds, breakfast, and a doctor's appointment for an individual.
💼 12:30 PM: Checkout management, answering 2 brand new client requests (blessed! 🙌), and a quick lunch on the go.
🏃‍♀️ Afternoon: More property management, home for afternoon meds, prep dinner with the hubby, and another doctor's appointment.
🛒 5:00 PM: Supply run to Home Depot for our night commercial building.
😱 keys: A frantic call about a missing building key (found an hour later, thank goodness! 🔑)
🏦 immediately discovering my business account was hacked into (took everything) now negative.
🌙 2:00 AM: My amazing commercial cleaning staff finally finishes up on property for the night.

Even though I wasn't the one physically doing the cleaning at 2 AM, as the business owner, your mind never really shuts off until the job is done and the team is safe! To say I was mentally and physically exhausted by the end of it is an understatement.
But today is Saturday, it's a fresh day, and I am so grateful to God for giving me the strength to manage it all.

To my clients: thank you for your patience and trust.
To my bank account: we are fixing this today!

Most importantly, a huge thank you to my amazing husband and children. I couldn't do any of this without the love and support of my family—you are my rock!

❤️ My feet are finally up and I'm ready to enjoy the weekend with them. ☕☀️

This is exactly what small business owners are dealing with on the daily. 🛑 A text message inquiry for a professional deep clean 🧹✨ turns into a fake Zoom meeting 💻❌, which quickly turns into an "urgent" plea for me to run to the grocery store to buy gift cards 🛒💳 and get reimbursed via a "check." 🧾🤦‍♀️
I knew exactly what it was and shut it down immediately 🚫, but it’s incredibly frustrating how much valuable time these scammers waste! ⏳😤
