Some pictures of a replacement mound system we designed for a camp on the lake in South Hero. It was a tight site but we made it all fit. Client is happy that they don't have to worry after they flush the toilet now.

Doing some test pits for a new home in Waterbury.

Did a sq**rt test and a inspection of the "monster" mound in Stowe yesterday. They have come a long ways and have done a good job so far. Everything looked good so they are on to getting the rest of the mound sand in place before the next inspection.

Test pits in Waterbury this morning with a curious audience at every hole we did. At one point while I was down in a pit logging the soils I looked up and the top of the hole was surrounded with black and white heads looking down at me!

Found some text book "mottling" in a test pits this morning. Cool to see, but not when trying to design a septic there! (The grey blotches are "mottles" or evidence left behind from the seasonal high water table.)
