You may have noticed a pungent odor outdoors lately. It is mating season for our smelly friends, the skunk. This means they are more active in the evenings during January and February.

If you have pets that are outdoors it is even more important than ever to make sure their rabies vaccines are up to date. If your outdoor pet were to have an argument with a skunk, or any other rabies vector, and has a current vaccine all you need to do is get a rabies booster and a bath! We recommend using "Skunk Off" you can get at Walmart or Tractor Supply.

Unvaccinated pets contact your veterinarian right away for vaccine treatment. Left untreated Rabies is fatal in pets and humans.

Today we lost our Treeing Walker c**n hound "Walker" who we always considered our Alliance dog. We adopted him back when we first started Alliance and he was even in our first television commercial. He lived a great life on our farm for 7 years. Rest in Peace Ole' Buddy!!
