Can we get real here??
Traveling as the primary parent while owning two businesses is a whole different level of chaos.
Everyone sees the vacation photos. They don’t see the endless checklist behind them. How much actual planning goes into us leaving for a week.
The group texts about activities.
Appointments.
Summer school and daycare transportation.
The dogs.
The groceries.
The packing.
The schedule.
The reminders.
And then realizing you hate everything in your closet and need new clothes. So you order online and hope the sizing gods are in your favor.
Truthfully, I need this vacation.
Between raising kids and running two companies, “me time” isn’t really a thing. Most nights I wake up with a child tucked in beside me, and while it can be exhausting, I know someday I’ll miss these moments.
So tell me, fellow parents, business owners, superhero’s with invisible capes, and professional jugglers of life… how are you doing?
I’m off to listen see the ocean, recharge, and find a little peace before diving back into reality.
