People's creativity always amazes me and it is the hard times that make us more creative. I no longer have little ones at home so I don't have to think of ways to keep them entertained during this pandemic. Even so, I thought this was a really cool idea! Remember the book "Going on a Bear Hunt?" My hometown local newspaper The Lamberton News ran this story. Someone placed a huge teddy bear in their front window and invited the whole community to join in placing bears in a window. Families can go for a walk, bike ride, or drive around and "bear hunt." What fun!
Thanks to whomever brought a bunch of books to the laundromat, children to adult, (probably noticing that my shelves were empty.) That was very generous. But one of the first things I did when the virus hit was remove all books and magazines to cut down on the transfer of germs. I have boxed them up and will disinfect them and put them out again when this virus has passed. For now, everyone needs to bring their own reading material, sorry. We are still open 24/7!!
This will definitely be an Easter that will make the history books and families will be saying forever "Remember Easter 2020 when ........? And it sounds like we will have snow, too!
I found this quote from Mahatma Gandhi, "A man who was completely innocent, offered himself as a sacrifice for the good of others, including his enemies, and became the ransom of the world. It was a perfect act." What more can be said? A Blessed, Healthy, and Happy Easter to all.
