Depends on the age of the carpet. If it's more than 7 years old then on the property owner to replace.
So this tenant was here 18 months - would you be deducting the cost or replacing the carpet from their deposit?
There was no damage before they moved in. So would you;
1) charge the full cost of removing and replacing the carpet.
2) try and get this corner replaced or repaired
3) split the cost with the tenant as they were there 18 months.
