What do I do if puppy has an accident on the carpet!? Great question! Be careful in using products that are marketed to you! Many times they can leave a residue, change the chemistry of the issue, and even spread the problem. First, blot up as much as you can with a dry towel. You can never hurt your carpet by mixing up 50/50 white vinegar and warm water in a bowl, dunking a WHITE (colored can bleed) rag in it, wringing it out, then rubbing the spot gently (rinse and repeat as needed). This will actually neutralize the urine and potentially help with the smell. Any further attention should be professional.
