Everybody thinks cleaning is easy. Whether it's residential housekeeping, commercial janitorial work, or deep cleaning, people love to underestimate the amount of work that actually goes into it. Everybody wants a clean home, a spotless business, and quality results, but nobody wants to PAY for the time, effort, and hard work it takes to get those results. Cleaning is physically demanding. It's exhausting. It takes knowledge, attention to detail, the right equipment, and a whole lot more than just pushing a mop around.
I've been in the cleaning industry for over fifteen years. You name it, chances are I've cleaned it. I've worked in some of the dirtiest places you could imagine, and I've worked in some of the cleanest. And you know what's crazy? Some of the wealthiest people are the very ones who want to pay you the bare minimum.
And here's what really gets me…
If cleaning is so damn easy, then why aren't you getting off your ass and doing it yourself?
You can't expect professional results while paying someone like their time and labor mean nothing. Just because it's a job you don't want to do doesn't mean the person doing it deserves to be underpaid. Stop looking down on cleaners while depending on them to do the work you're unwilling to do. 😘
Respect the profession. Respect the people. And PAY for quality.
