☔ Pool Tip After Heavy Rain ☔

With our area getting 4–8 inches of rain — and more on the way — your pool water chemistry is taking a hit. Rain can dilute chlorine, throw off pH and alkalinity, and wash debris and phosphates into the water.

Here’s what homeowners should do after the storms:

✔️ Empty skimmer baskets & check drains
✔️ Run the pool longer than normal to keep water circulating
✔️ Brush the pool to help prevent algae
✔️ Test and balance your water ASAP — especially chlorine and pH
✔️ Don’t wait if the water starts turning cloudy or green
