A little bit of everything on this chimney project!

We repaired the chimney crown, repointed deteriorated mortar joints, applied FlashSeal to the flashing, installed a top-mounted damper, removed insulation to establish 2” clearance around the chimney in the attic, sealed the smoke chamber, and resurfaced the flue liner. This chimney is as good as new now!

Another big chimney repair project completed! ✅

We installed a new stainless steel liner and chimney cap, parged the smoke chamber, repaired the crown, and repointed the exterior mortar joints.

This one was tough! We had to remove brickwork in the firebox, smoke chamber, and chimney termination to make sure everything fit and functioned correctly. We also brought in a scaffolding company to provide safe access to the chimney.

This project took us nearly 3 days to complete!

Tommy was out on the job in San Diego this week repairing a chimney liner using SaverSystems Pro HeatShield resurfacing product! We also brought out our safety harness as an extra precaution while working on the roof.

A cracked chimney crown can let water into your chimney and lead to expensive damage over time.

Today we’re sealing this crown with CrownCoat by SaverSystems to help keep water out and extend its service life.
