🚨 BREAKING: Enterprise Area Towing Company Draws Scrutiny Amid Disputes and Complaints 🚨

ENTERPRISE, Ala. — A local towing operator, Kevin Goodyear Towing, is facing growing public scrutiny following a series of disputes involving vehicle removals, ownership claims, and questions surrounding authorization procedures.

According to multiple individuals in the Enterprise and Coffee County area, conflicting explanations were allegedly given regarding who authorized certain vehicle tows. Some vehicle owners claim they were initially told law enforcement ordered the tow, only to later learn from officials that no such authorization had been issued.

Under Alabama law, non-consensual towing generally requires authorization from a property owner, evidence of abandonment, or direction from law enforcement. When those facts are disputed, legal responsibility can become complicated.

Several complainants also describe what they characterize as “shifting explanations” from company leadership, including CFO Brad Castro and owner Kevin Goodyear. These allegations have not been independently verified, and no court or regulatory agency has issued formal findings regarding the claims.

⚠️ SMALL BUSINESS IMPACT

One case involves Rags 2 Riches Carpet and Cleaning Service, a local small business that reportedly depended on two vehicles — a cargo van and SUV — for daily operations.

The owner alleges both vehicles were removed without clear or consistent explanation regarding authorization, effectively shutting down business operations. According to the owner, canceled jobs, lost equipment access, and service interruptions have resulted in estimated losses of approximately $750 per weekday.

Those figures have not been independently audited.

⚠️ DOCUMENTATION & NOTIFICATION QUESTIONS

Some individuals also claim they did not receive timely notice regarding their vehicles, while others report paperwork errors involving ownership information. If substantiated, those concerns could raise legal questions regarding compliance with Alabama towing statutes.

⚠️ NO FORMAL FINDINGS ANNOUNCED

At this time:
• No regulatory agency has publicly announced a formal investigation
• No court has issued a final ruling regarding the allegations
• Attempts to obtain comment from Kevin Goodyear Towing were unsuccessful at the time of publication

Legal experts advise anyone involved in a towing dispute to document communications, preserve paperwork, and seek qualified legal counsel when necessary.

As this situation continues to develop, it highlights the importance of transparency, accountability, and proper legal procedures within the towing industry — especially when the impacts may affect local families and small businesses.

Full Videos Unedited.

-Refusing to give us documentation (tow slip, invoice) unless we pay them in full and in cash.
(Common tactic, leaves no paper trail, makes it impossible to dispute the tow)

-Refusing to tell me why my vehicles are in their possession or why they have the right to withhold them (Common tactic, they dont want to give me a reason because they dont have one)

-Falsely claiming to have police authority and falsely claiming that EPD ordered my vehicles towed (Common tactic, gives them an appearance of authority/police backing, like using a fake badge, Its unlawful but apparently Enterprise Police Department is okay with it so why not just give goodyear a badge at this point?)

So they had my property in their possesion, with no documentation, they couldnt tell me who ordered my vehicles towed, they couldnt tell me why they were towed, i was never notified that they were towed, and somehow that isnt theft? Shouldn't there have been SOME FORM of paperwork that they could have given me that stated why they had my property in their possesion?

So if i took your vehicle off of the street and brought it to my house, and you come and ask me why i have your car at my house, and i refuse to give you an explanation or any paperwork that explains why i have it unless you give me cash first, and i wont give you your vehicle back, and then you ask me why, and then i lie and tell you that the Police gave me authority to take it and keep it to make it seem to you that what i did was lawful because i have no other explanation, and that isnt a crime? They said police "signed off on it" but then they say that they dont have the officers name (if an officer signed off on it, then shouldnt they have the officers name?) And why couldnt they print SOMETHING off to hand me?

ENTERPRISE POLICE WAS MADE AWARE OF THIS AND THEY DID NOT ACT. FALSELY CLAIMING TO HAVE POLICE AUTHORITY IN ORDER TO KEEP PEOPLES VEHICLES ON THEIR LOT LONGER TO INCREASE STORAGE FEES IS UNLAWFUL, REFUSING TO GIVE SOMEONE DOCUMENTATION ON WHY THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO WITHHOLD YOUR VEHICLE AND UNDER WHAT AUTHORITY THEY TOWED IS UNLAWFUL, ALL OF OUR BUSINESS EQUIPMENT ($15,000.00 WORTH) THAT WAS INSIDE OF BOTH VEHICLES IS UNACCOUNTED FOR, LOST, OR STOLEN.
