Why You Should Clean your Lint Trap

Not all dryers are made alike. Sometimes your lint trap is hidden from sight, and you may need a reminder to clean it after each drying cycle. Why is it important to clean out the lint trap?

There are three main ways that letting lint remain on your trap can affect you and your dryer. For one thing, the lint causes your dryer’s motor to work harder. This occurs because lint blocks the air circulation so that the motor cannot cool efficiently. As a result, the motor must run longer and harder, like an overheated car engine.
