This is one of those posts that as a business owner, you hate to make. In the wee hours of the night, between 4 am and 6 am, we had an individual stop in and "make himself at home", so to speak. He started off by moving our furniture around. We found our rugs and table outside. He then took out the trash, or so we though, as he stole our trash bags, which were in their cans, with trash. He not only took the bags and bungee cords, he left us the trash. He then proceeded to use a knife to scrape, scratch and try to break into our soda machine, dryers, and candy machines. In the midst of it, he decided he should take his shirt off, turn it wrong side out and put it back on and the best part, he drank our complimentary coffee the whole time. He did manage to take a break, put his feet up and read a free magazine. Lucky for him, we were able to give the video to the Elwood Police, but now we need the communities help. Who is this man?
And to our customers, I apologize. I am sorry to the ones who walked in to this mess. I am sorry we do not have coffee, sugar, cream or cups as they are now gone. I am sorry that our candy and gum machines were destroyed. But most of all, Im sorry that someone took it upon themselves to create the opposite of what we have worked so hard for for the past 15 years. Everything is replaceable. But know, we do not take this lightly and charges will be pressed as soon as we know who this is.
