South Dakota Yarn Co. I specialize in naturally hand-dyed yarns.

My colors are obtained through roots, leaves, herbs and other plant-based materials rather than through acid dyes, so you can feel confident that the fibers you work with are well rooted to the Earth. Natural Hand-Dyed Yarns

Please bear in mind that, while I do my best to ensure that all my products are color-fast, due to the nature of natural dyes, some bleeding may occur. I recommend treating t

hese yarns as you would any wool-based garment - with hand washing in cool water with either a wool wash or a natural soap (such as Dawn) and hanging or laying flat to dry. I do also recommend when viewing colors online, to view with a couple different monitors so you can try to get the best sense of the shades. It can be difficult to convey through photographs but if a product received looks completely different, please let me know so we can make adjustments.
