West Nile virus activity continues to increase in our region.

The first signs of West Nile virus activity have been detected in Yolo County after a dead bird collected in Woodland tested positive for the virus. Residents are encouraged to take steps to prevent mosquito bites and eliminate standing water around their homes.

Miguel, Trevor, and Kevin have joined the District as new Field Technicians, Josh has joined the team as a new Lab Technician, and Dean is our new mechanic. We’re excited to have them on board helping support the important work happening across Sacramento and Yolo counties.
