Today was a powerful reminder of what community really means.
Today, neighbors, friends, first responders, and strangers showed up for something bigger than themselves at the Red Cross blood drive held in honor of Lt. Geri Gallagher —a woman whose life depends on the generosity of others through ongoing blood transfusions.
Each donation today wasn’t just a unit of blood.
It was hope.
It was strength.
It was time.
It was a quiet promise that none of us stands alone when life gets hard.
To everyone who rolled up a sleeve, waited patiently, encouraged others, or helped make today possible—thank you. You didn’t just fill chairs; you filled hearts. Because of you, lives will continue, families will have more moments together, and Lt. Gallagher will keep fighting with the support of an entire community behind her.
This is what service looks like.
This is what compassion looks like.
