My niece, Markie Miller, is the proud owner of Sarah Vaughn’s Cleaning LLC, a small, woman-owned cleaning company in Newburgh, Indiana! ❤️
And GUESS WHAT?!?!
🏆 Sarah Vaughn’s Cleaning LLC has just won the Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite Award for the SIXTH YEAR IN A ROW!!! 🏆
Not once. Not twice. But SIX CONSECUTIVE YEARS!!! 👏👏👏
YES, SIX!!! 🎉

But this morning, I want to recognize Markie for so much more than an award.
This woman works INCREDIBLY hard. She loves Jesus, and she isn’t afraid to share Him! She carries her faith into everything she does, whether it’s her personal life, her business, or an encounter with a complete stranger. She doesn’t just talk about her faith. She LIVES it.
And let me tell you something… Markie has put in the WORK! The blood, the sweat, the tears, the long days, the exhaustion, the FAITH, and the PRAYERS that have brought her to where she is today!
I can still remember years ago when we would talk about the two or three weekly cleaning clients we had scribbled on our little bedroom calendars. She was in Indiana, and I was living in Massachusetts at the time. Two women with a few cleaning supplies, a handful of clients, big dreams, and a whole lot of FAITH!
And LOOK what God has done! ❤️
Today, we still take time to video chat, check in on each other, pray together, share our blessings, and sometimes just vent about the realities of running a cleaning business!
Because let’s face it… some days those blessings look like rainbows and flowers, and other days they look like tears and MOTRIN! 😂💊
But through it all, we hold each other accountable. We encourage each other. We pray for each other. And most importantly, WE LIFT EACH OTHER UP!
And here’s something else I admire so much about Markie.
She doesn’t just take pride in her own work. She pours that same pride, love, and dedication into teaching her employees! ❤️
She takes the time to show them the ropes, share what she’s learned, teach them how to do things the RIGHT way, and help them grow in their own abilities. She understands that building a successful cleaning company isn’t just about how well SHE cleans. It’s about building a TEAM that carries those same standards of quality, care, and integrity into every home and business they enter.
That’s more than being a business owner. That’s being a LEADER!
She’s not just building a business. She’s building confidence, teaching valuable skills, setting an example, and helping others succeed right alongside her.
AND WAIT… DID I MENTION HER HUSBAND WORKS RIGHT ALONGSIDE HER?! 😍
YUP!!! These two are a DYNAMIC CLEANING DUO! 💪❤️🧹
When God said, “And the two shall become one,” these two took that to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL! 😂🙌
They aren’t just doing life together. They’re doing BUSINESS together! Working side by side, tackling the long days, sharing the responsibilities, celebrating the victories, and pushing through the challenges that come with building something of their own.
And anyone who has ever worked alongside their spouse knows THAT takes a special kind of teamwork! 😂❤️
A marriage, a ministry, a business, and a whole lot of elbow grease!
What a beautiful thing it is to see a husband and wife working together toward a shared purpose, putting their faith into action, and building something they can both be proud of!
And here’s something I really want people to understand.
Even if Markie lived right next door to me, building her God-given cleaning business in the very same community as mine, NOTHING WOULD CHANGE!
Neither of us believes in that “dog eat dog” mentality. We don’t believe another woman’s success takes anything away from our own. We believe there is room for ALL of us to succeed!
Another woman’s success is NOT your failure!
We can support each other, encourage each other, share ideas, pray for each other, and YES, even cheer on our so-called COMPETITORS!
Because that’s what lifting people up looks like. ❤️
Markie is dependable. She’s friendly. She goes the extra mile. She genuinely CARES about the people she serves. She works tirelessly, and she has built something worth being incredibly proud of.
And today, I want HER to know that!
Markie, I SEE YOU! ❤️
I see your hard work. I see your dedication. I see your heart. I see the sacrifices, the determination, and the faith that have carried you through the good days and the really, REALLY hard ones.
I see the pride you take in your work, the love you pour into your business, and the time and patience you invest in the people working beside you.
And I see the beautiful partnership you and your husband have built, not only in your marriage but in the work you do together.
I’m so incredibly proud of the woman you are, the business you’ve built, the team you’re developing, and the example you set for other women chasing their dreams.
Six years at the TOP isn’t luck. It’s consistency, commitment, integrity, and a whole lot of HARD WORK!
So today, I’m not just celebrating my niece. I’m celebrating a fellow small-business owner, a sister in Christ, a hardworking woman, a dedicated leader, a husband-and-wife team, and people who deserve every bit of recognition coming their way!
