Of course it feels heavy.

That’s what expansion feels like from the inside.

Stop expecting mastery while you’re still becoming.

Progress isn’t clean, linear, or graceful most days.

EAST IS COLD, WEST IS WARM
A sharp temperature contrast is setting up across the country today, with much warmer air dominating the western states while colder air remains locked in across the eastern half. This pattern allows places out west to enjoy springlike warmth, while much of the East stays well below normal for early February. For our area, that means another day stuck on the cold side, with limited daytime recovery despite some improvement later on.

This setup is a textbook positive PNA pattern, featuring strong ridging in the West and persistent troughing across the East. Until that pattern relaxes, colder-than-normal conditions remain the theme locally.

THAT'S A BIG JUMP...
EURO this morning jumped quite a bit west from it's previous run late last night. Now...don't go running with this idea that we are gonna get clobbered...we need more data. The question I have is this: Is it the start of a trend NW as happens 9/10 times or is it a flub? We will get a clearer picture through the day.

Regardless of snow (I think best chance is east of Hammonton), we'd be looking at strong winds and tidal flooding if this comes to fruition...look at the central pressure...modeled into the 960s! That's DEEP. Our last storm was 1000 something. Different animal.

I DO think the signal is legit but 50-100 miles will be the difference between boom or bust. I believe we see some tidal issues no matter what though with the full moon. Let's proceed with caution and see what the day has in store for model guidance.
