HAPPY NEW YEAR Edgewood!
Everyone knows today marks the first day of 2026. But did you also know that today marks 10 years since the Wash-N-Fold Express first opened its doors for business and welcomed the community in with open arms?
And all of you awesome people walked in and embraced us right back.
You brought your laundry week after week. You introduced us to your loved ones. You spread the word about us on Facebook, Google and Yelp. We watched your children grow. You shared stories and food with us. You donated washes and dry time to other patrons. You hauled in canned food for food drives. We’ve laughed together, celebrated together and sometimes cried together.
That’s why on this incredible day, we want to thank you for choosing the Wash-N-Fold, for being a valued client, for helping us build an amazing community in our hometown.
It is your continued support that helps us realize the mission that we painted on our wall: Enhance the quality of life for families living in our community by providing a safe, clean and friendly environment to help save time and build lasting relationships.
By choosing to wash and dry at the ‘mat, you have helped award an annual scholarship to a college or trade school-bound senior at Edgewood High School, sponsored an Edgewood Recreation track team, donated to fundraisers at Deerfield, Edgewood and magnolia elementary schools and provided clean linens for Harford County’s unhoused population during the winter months.
Such kindness brought other like-minded people into our world.
Salem United Methodist and Channel of Grace Church pops in to surprise folks with free washes. A silent benefactor, ReviveUs Ministry and the sisters from Omicron Chi Zeta provide free wash vouchers to those in need. The Judy Center from Magnolia Elementary teaches kids how to read while their parents do a free wash. Harford County Community Schools provide vouchers to students who need a place to do their laundry. We can't name all our everyday heroes.
Through that sense of community, you’ve helped us become a beacon for residents in need of useful information like Transit Link bus routes, Harford Community College course offerings, and County government workshops.
Last, but not least, it was through the relationships we formed with patrons that we found all six of our current employees who work hard to make everyone else’s day better. Our work family is the reason why we, and hopefully all of you, walk out our doors with a smile on your face.
You all have touched so many lives.
Here’s to celebrating many more years of inspiring each other to pay it forward.
