As many of you know, we’re getting so close to meeting our little boy! 💙

With that being said, it has reached the point in my pregnancy where it’s time for me to step back from cleaning until after baby Atlas arrives.

This pregnancy has come with a few extra challenges. Because I am considered high risk, been recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and am at risk for preterm labor, my doctors (and Marcus 😅) have made it very clear that it’s time for me to slow down and let my body focus on growing this sweet little human.

Over the next several weeks, Marcus will be taking over the majority of our cleanings while I work behind the scenes handling scheduling, client communication, bookkeeping, and all the things that keep Mountain Sage running. You may still see me pop in occasionally, but for the most part it’ll just be Marcus taking care of your homes.

We know many of you have welcomed us into your homes for months, and some of you have become like family to us. Your kindness, encouragement, and support throughout this pregnancy have meant more than you’ll ever know.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for trusting us with your homes. We truly are grateful for each and every one of you. Your support has helped us build not just a business, but a life we’re incredibly proud of.

We can’t wait to introduce you all to baby Atlas soon, and I’ll be back in action before you know it.

🏡 Move-Out Cleaning Day! ✨

Today’s mission: turning a well-loved home into a fresh, clean slate for its next chapter.

Move-out cleanings are a little different from our regular maintenance cleans…they’re all about the details. Baseboards, inside cabinets, appliances, window tracks, light fixtures… we tackle the areas that often get overlooked so the home is ready for its next owners or tenants.

It’s always satisfying watching a space transform from “lived in” to “move-in ready.” There’s something special about helping close one chapter while preparing for the next.

I finally did it. 🥰

I’ve had this dress sitting in my wishlist for a couple of years, and every time I looked at it, I convinced myself not to buy it. But for my baby shower this Sunday… it just felt right.

It’s the perfect whimsical forest dress, and I honestly can’t wait to wear it. 🌿🍄✨

There are thousands of cleaning companies out there.

Some charge less. Some charge more. Some have bigger teams, newer equipment, or larger marketing budgets...

but here's one thing they can never compete with: Being you.

People remember the businesses that are genuine. The ones that communicate well, show up when they say they will, take pride in their work, and truly care about the people they serve.

Be honest. Be reliable. Do quality work. Treat people well. The right clients will notice, and they'll keep coming back.

That is something no competitor can copy.

Still grabbing the broom before you mop?
We have a better idea...

As professional cleaners, one of the biggest game changers we've learned is this:
Vacuum your hard floors instead of sweeping.

Why?

Because brooms have a sneaky habit of relocating than removing. Ever notice how dust bunnies seem to multiply the second you start sweeping? Fine dust, pet hair, and crumbs get kicked up into the air, only to settle right back onto your fleshly cleaned floors (or your furniture).

A vacuum actually captures that dirt instead of sending it on a little house tour. Plus, it gets into corners, along baseboards, and those tiny cracks where a broom loves to leave crumbs behind.

Then, once all that loose debris is gone, mop your floors. Your mop can focus on cleaning instead of dragging around dust and hair, leaving your floors cleaner, shinier, and grit-free.

If I'm being completely transparent... this quote is one I need to remind myself of regularly.

My imposter syndrome has a funny way of convincing me that I need to wait until everything is perfect before I hit "post" Add a sprinkle of ADHD into the mix, and I can become the queen of procrastination. There are days I'll spend more time overthinking than actually DOING.

But one of the biggest lessons I've learned while building Mountain Sage is this: Showing up consistently matters so much more than showing up perfectly.

Every post, every estimate, every client we serve, every early morning and every little step forward adds up. The businesses that thrive aren't always the ones with the fanciest branding or the most followers...they're the ones that keep showing up, even when self-doubt tags along for the ride.

So if you've been waiting for the "perfect" time to start that business, launch that idea, or finally put yourself out there...this is your reminder that progress will always pay better than procrastination.

Walked into an Airbnb and immediately realized the microwave was gone.

Stolen?

Nope.

Broken?

Nope.

It was… hiding in the closet.

I’m not even going to ask questions anymore. I just clean here. 😂

Even if it’s only for five minutes.

Listen to the birds. Feel the cool morning air. Let the warmth of your coffee and the first light of the day remind you that not everything has to be rushed.
