Just as a reminder, rodents carry disease. That is why we control them.

A French woman and an American have tested positive for the hantavirus as nations around the world scramble to repatriate passengers from a cruise ship hit by an outbreak and quarantine or isolate them.

Our Perimetek Urban Entomology lab was able to collaborate with researchers at Rutgers University on peer reviewed study on rodenticide resistance in House Mice.

Perimetek is a proud member of both the New York Pest Management Association and the National Pest Management Association (NPMA). Both organizations strive to serve membership not only through resources, training, and networking opportunities, but most importantly through legislative representation.

Our own Holly Sanefski has spent the last several days participating in policy and advocacy training at NPMA Legislative Day in Washington DC.

Tomorrow, this event culminates with visits to Capitol Hill, where the group from NYS will meet with representatives and their staff to provide insight and education on what makes pest control so essential to public health. These meetings will allow Perimetek and other service providers across the state and nation to continue effectively serving homes and businesses, thus mitigating the risks that pests introduce to interior environments.

We wrap up our 2026 International Women's Day recognition series with Molly.

Molly has been in the pest management industry since 2002. She has served in a variety of office capacities, including client data management, accounting and bookkeeping, accounts receivable, and customer service. Her administrative experience and organizational skills support the smooth operation of our team as well as compliance with annual state reporting.

She is currently serving Perimetek in a part time role, having stepped back in recent years to spend more time with her family as grandchildren begin to arrive! Her heart for family and friends extends to support all of our team members as well, and we are fortunate to have her weekly contribution.

In honor of International Women's Day on March 8th, we'd like to highlight some of the amazing women on our team in the coming days!

Today we continue our recognition series with Sarah. In addition to representing Perimetek in commercial sales, Sarah is also a licensed technician. Her experience and training aids in evaluating and assessing pest risks in a variety of facilities and structures in the interest of program design. Through understanding and education, she always does her best to present effective and realistic programs that address client concerns. Sarah's heart for serving and uplifting others shines through in the support she provides to current and prospective clients. She brings a dedication to excellence to our team that uplifts everyone around her, teammates and clients alike.

Today, we feature Ivy. Ivy brings a number of qualities to the table that improve the Perimetek Team. She is extremely detail-oriented, analytical, tenacious, and dedicated to continuous education and personal excellence. Ivy's curiosity means she is always willing to take on new challenges to improve herself and her peers. Her creative drive allows her to develop some "out of the box" solutions and shows through in the passion she brings to her lab work. Our team is elevated because of her presence!

Today we feature Bianca, a true rock star on our team! Bianca has so many amazing qualities that it is hard to know where to begin. She has an incredible ability to see people first and provide caring and empathetic service to those in distress. Her ability to partner with clients goes above and beyond typical "customer service" to bring the element of education into her client relationships. Curiosity and a tenacious commitment to solving pest issues makes her one of our strongest technicians. She has proven to be dedicated to her own professional development as well as that of the team members around her, always offering support with newer technicians and apprentices. Our team is vastly improved by her presence!

First up is Heather Haywood. It is her friendly voice you hear on the phone when calling our office. She is the hub of communication between clients and technicians and the glue that holds our office together. Her heart for service and commitment to customer care is without equal. We are grateful to have her on our team!
