Here you’ll find all the details you need to get your cymbals back to looking and sounding like they did the day they were born. Dirty, tarnished and oxidized cymbals not only look terrible, but more importantly, the sound is severely deadened. No one buys a brand new cymbal thinking, “Years from now this cymbal will sound great!” Over time, cymbals start to look awful. They get significantly muted with years of filth, fingerprints, patina, stick marks, oxidation, etc.. If you’ve ever tried to clean a cymbal, you know how hard it is. Tons of elbow grease and sore fingers, oily black rags pile up, and always get a less than desired result. Cymbals have hundreds of tiny grooves which are impossible to get completely clean by hand. My process gets them spotless!
