Even though the previous owner has receipts of work that was completed, doesn't mean everything is in proper working order.
A stainless steel chase cover and a cap was installed here but chase cover was pushed down by a low grade storm collar that was screwed together, holding water and cap was aftermarket.
With a simple adjustment of removing the old storm collar, chase cover popped up into place, installed a stainless steel storm collar with a tightening band, and a proper Dura Vent cap.
Will make all the difference with water and draft.

🔥 Is your chimney protecting your family—or putting your home at risk? 🔥

Psalms 118:24-25 NLT
[24] This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. [25] Please, Lord, please save us. Please, Lord, please give us success.

We thank God for ever opportunity.
He is our provider and redeemer.
Also for the families we serve.
The can now breathe easy at night knowing
their chimney now drafts carbon monoxide up and out. Water no longer pe*****tes their home. This world no longer able to tear it down. For the Lord has transformed it.

This chimney shows significant deterioration at the top, including a damaged crown, loose masonry, areas where water can easily pe*****te the structure, a cap installed improperly installed that will block draft, but also roofers threw old shingles in flue on top of collapsed brick. Your furnace flue and chimney work together to safely vent harmful combustion gases, including carbon monoxide, out of your home. When a chimney is not inspected regularly, hidden damage can lead to moisture intrusion, masonry failure, poor draft, and costly repairs. A professional chimney inspection can identify these issues early, helping protect your heating system, improve safety, and extend the life of your chimney before minor problems become major structural concerns.
