As a daughter of a veteran, I was instilled with a deep-seated respect for our nation, its symbol of unity, and the selfless individuals who fiercely defend our liberties, including those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Words can never fully express the gratitude we owe to each person who has stood tall in protection of our freedom. Our nation's liberty is a testament to the valor of its brave men and women.

As we all know, Cherie DeVaux is the first female trainer to ever win the Kentucky Derby. In her speech right after she said this and it honestly brought tears to my eyes so I wanted to share it with you all.
