Blooms from the hoop this morning. These are super short but blooming like crazy.

First time growing these pansies. I’m hoping for taller stems in the near future. But for now I’m filling my windowsill with 3in stems and pressing the rest!

Frost is predicted tonight....perhaps more accurate a freeze may happen. We are typically below recorded temps on our farm as our land is on the low side (and I have a temp sensor outside).

Today might be the last of this season. It's bittersweet, but I am so thankful for the changing seasons and living in a place where the seasons do change.

Recently, I was asked what my favorite season is, and I think in the past I would have said fall, but now, I have to say that I really love them all... Farming has made me love the season that I am in more and more.

Perhaps there is some metaphor for life in that that I may reflect on later when I am not scrambling to harvest what may be the last of my flowers for the 2025 season.

Some will hold in my cooler for next week. Some will not.

Right now the sun is out, the "baby" is napping and the older 4 kids are playing outside in the sunshine.

Cosmos

I can’t imagine summer without them.

A few years ago I was not so sure about them. But I have found some better varieties to grow and I love this afternoon white.

This year I also added apricotta to the mix and I am in love with it.

Dancing, prancing, floating…they add so much to designs. This week they is a bumper crop of them.

Should I grow more colors next year?

June blooms

June is one of my favorite months of the year.

Summer stretching all out before us.

Beautiful temps and the most wonderful blooms.

June 2025 is one for the record books

I’m so thankful for every single florist order! It really means the world to me.

Until next year, beautiful June.

Over the past 4 years I have been adding in perennials and woodies to my farm.

Eremurus or foxtail Lilly sure is a fun add. It’s bloom height is about 20-24in and then the whole height of the stem is about 3 feet.

It is a perennial that I just planted last fall, so this is its first season and it did not give me a lot of blooms (maybe 30?). But, over the next years it will send up more shoots.

I love it. It’s such a cool tall spike flower. It is a hearty investment as the roots are expensive, but I thinknitnwill be worth it.

I know some florists who love using it.

This foxglove is so beautiful!

It’s a new to me plant this year. But I love it. The dark purple was a mix in with my plugs of the wrong seed. But I think that one is stunning as well.

So amazing to see all the different plants that God has created. From the ranunculus to the foxglove now…Saponaria, and the nigella. Such variety in color and texture. It’s so fun to be growing and have flowers again.

But if it were not for me hoop I would not have very many flowers right now with our cold srpring we have had.

Keep seeing all the beauty around you friends 🌸

It’s been a wild ride of a week but the ranunculus have arrived.

So many things on the farm are so close!

Saponaria and foxglove, delphinium (not pictured) also so close to blooming.

End of May and June are some of my favorite flowers! I can’t wait.
