Hello everyone! My name is Natalia, and I’m so happy to introduce myself to the wonderful residents Cook county.
In the spring of 2022, I was one of the millions of Ukrainian women who fled the war, bringing my young son with me. We found shelter in a small hotel, where the kind owner offered us a discount for three months. During that time, I kept asking myself—how do I move forward? What should I do next?
I didn’t want to rely on government aid, but without knowing the language, my job options were quite limited. Since I often helped the hotel owner with cleaning, I started receiving many compliments—something Italian men are especially generous with! 😊 He kept telling me how great I was at cleaning.
Before long, the hotel owner began recommending me to his colleagues and friends, and just like that, my journey in the cleaning business began. ✨ On this journey, I have met many wonderful people, all of whom have become not just my clients but also my friends.
In the fall of 2024, my family and I relocated to Des Plaines, Illinois. Cook County welcomed us with incredible warmth, but starting over in a new country, with nothing, was one of the biggest challenges of my life.
That’s why I have a special place in my heart for other Ukrainian refugees who have arrived here, thrown into unfamiliar circumstances, working tirelessly to rebuild their lives, and doing everything possible to give their children a brighter future.
This experience inspired me to launch Blue & Yellow Cleaning, a business with a deeper mission:

-To foster a community built on hard work, resilience, and mutual support.
-To deliver high-quality, reliable cleaning services to local residents and businesses.
