I have a big favor to ask.
I have an elderly neighbor who desperately needs help with cleaning.
I'm going to start volunteering a few hours a month to see if we can make his house a safe space for someone who has had a couple falls and is unsteady, because of leg issues.
So I'm asking for some donations, since I'm going to be doing this for free as an act of kindness and hopefully change this man's life.
I really need the following items before I can start cleaning.
First and the biggest ask is a vacuum with the hose attachment -He currently has a mouse problem so I can't use any of my vacuums, ideally looking for something I could toss once the job is done. If anyone has a vacuum laying around that they no longer use would be ideal.
I also am looking for, suction cup bathmats- he needs at least two one for the shower and one we can put in front of the toilet so he doesn't slip.
I also need PPE equipment,- a hazmat suit, long large kitchen gloves, and a good mask.
A few shower curtains- the walls in his shower are crumbling so we will need to tape some shower curtains to the wall to help keep the water out of the walls.
Some mouse traps would be very helpful.
Some dog food- his previous "caretaker" was totally taking advantage of him and borrowing money, he got his 4 DUI and left his dog for this man to take care of. I'm sure he will need food for the dog.
I can also take cash app,Venmo, and zelle if anyone would rather donate for supplies.
I will talk to him about if I can post progress photos, as I know everyone loves a feel good story.

Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying the snow day.
Just wondering how many other parents spend the day, after a clean, just telling your kids over and over to stop making messes.
I literally had my house clean in preparation for the snow day, and I sure am regretting it. I should have just let us live like animals in a pigsty, and had my house cleaned when everyone was back to school/work.
Because a four day weekend, of mom yelling,
what is this spilled on my freshly mopped floor? 🙄
Why did you take Dad's worms out of the fridge and dump them on the floor🤢 ( true story, and yes I just wanted to cry)
No we are not playing kinetic sand inside.😖
And on and on all day long.
Mom, dad, a four year old and two dogs all trapped inside.
Then the mom guilt, they are only little once, one day you'll miss the mess.
But today, the day after my cleaner busted her butt to help get the house clean, I absolutely do not miss the mess.
Take a deep breath and know the cleaner will be back soon. 🙄😊

I love when I leave knowing I transformed a house into a home.
Sometimes life gets busy, houses get messy, and sometimes it's too overwhelming to even think of where to start.
No worries we all struggle, when the schedules are loaded full, and personal time is at a minimum, I would love to take a load off your plate 😊

Just the life of a mom who runs a small business. yesterday I really went to work all day, I was working for my dear friend miss Sarah who is 70.
I cleaned the kitchen, made breakfast, and we went to get her blood work done. They literally made us wait 2 and a half hours (which was spent laughing and complaining with some other elderly folks) for a 2 minute procedure.
Then I made her and my family dinner.
I got home, put the dinner in the oven, and finally ate dinner at like 8:30 pm.
I looked in my pocket to find that there was only a $20 bill and I must have dropped my $100 I got paid for the day😭
then I walked in the bathroom to find my son had an accident and had pooped alllll over the toilet and floor. Of course he didn't say anything so it had been there a while. I just cried and cleaned another toilet for the day. Finally got him in the bath, but I decided I would end my day with love. We read books and gave snuggles before bed, knowing that the day was over and tomorrow would be a new day.
It's not always easy but I know one day I will look back and know I grew a fine young man and a successful business. And that folks is what makes all the hard days worth it.

Sometimes you don't always need the newest gadget (although I do love a new cleaning gadget). Sometimes you can use what you already have.
Let's be honest, how many of us buy stuff and rarely use it. Then it sits collecting dust, and becomes another thing you have to clean 😂
